Description | This is not a project related to Clonk. Even though it's 2D it does not use the Clonk Engine. I'd like to refer to Tyron's post in the forums in which he states that any kind of project - related to Clonk or not - is allowed to be presented here. Klick! 15.06.2009: CSS neu und so. 14.06.2009: ck arbeitet gerade an dem Kollisionssystem der Schiffe und alra arbeitet an den Chemtrails. Wir haben nun einen Musiktrack und ich entwickle neue Schiffstypen um den Spielinhalt auszuweiten. Kanibal hat uns auch schon die Basis für eine Online Platform für die Spielauswertungen gelegt. The fleet is displayed on a radar screen, showing rough telemetry data for each unit using a kind of HUD. The game field is two-dimensional, and the directions span from 360° to 359° (360° pointing to the top, 090° to the right, 180° to the bottom and 270° to the left). The purpose of the game is to manage one's fleet (avoid collisions with own or hostile ships), as well as to eliminate enemies by giving attack commands to the ships. The goal is to be the only one left with ships (except it's cruiser against fighter). In total, there are currently three different ship types: Fighters, Corvettes and Battleships, each of which having different properties (such as hull, shield, velocity, rotational speed). The game is controlled via a console with which commands can be sent to a specific ship, as well as a few buttons. Ships are available to navigate, attack, guard and to create formations. You can imagine this as a kind of giant chess game. The game is programmed in C++, by mralra and ck (and maybe also Icewing and Kanibal). I'm doing graphics - who would have bet? This project site's purpose is solely for getting feedback, and perhaps there are people out there wanting to help (mostly with Code, and Sound/Music). Das ist nunmal das zweitschlechteste Argument nach "Pascal hat doch keine Pointer, oder?"
Die Clonk Engine bietet eine Turing-vollständige Scriptsprache, ein System, mit dem man Objekte gedreht und gezoomt anzeigen kann - was will man mehr?
